I found a wheel I like on trailerandtruckparts.com now just wondering what tire I need. I'm thinking a LT tire with a G load rating. Goodyear? Other brands?

Is a LT 235/85R 16 about the right size?

Carlisle makes a ST 235/85R 16 Load range F that seems like a good pick too. Maybe a bit softer than a G load rated tire.

Found this setup. http://www.trailertiresandwheels.co...es-09-black-hd-hi-spec-aluminum-trailer-wheel

Thanks!

Do you have lots of clearance above the existing tire as the specs indicate that the 235/85R16 G14's are 30.7" diameter verses 28.31" for the Westlake 225/75/15 LRE that are standard. I ask because I understand that they may have put longer shackles on the 337's to allow clearance for the 16" package.

Dave, good point. I did take a look at the leaf spring end shackles. They appear to be adjustable and are set at the lowest setting. It's an eccentric bolt style adjuster. I'll need to study it a bit more before I buy them.

I think you're referring to the LCI Correct Track set-up and adjustable cams on each leaf spring end. They're for adjusting alignment of the axles to the kingpin...here's a manual from LCI... http://www.lippertcomponents.com/images/support/manuals/CorrectTrackIIFinal.pdf

To my knowledge, this system does not have any height adjustment...that would have to be done with different holes in the shackles. If you're adding the Correct Track to an existing suspension, it can raise the ride height by 1 -2", but not on the factory set-up. There's also videos on youtube for Correct Track.

We have 225/75R16 BF Goodrich Commercial T/A LT tires on our Reflection 303 #314. Michelin XPS Ribs and Firestone Transforce are similar. We transferred these, and the wheels which we got from Tredit, from our previous fiver.

Measure your clearance, since Grand Design made a change to accommodate the larger rims about the time ours (and probably yours) came off the line.

Dave from Ontario, yes after looking at the suspension and reading the PDF. I'm leaving that adjustment be.

Dave & Kay, thanks for the info on the 16" wheels you installed on your 303. That tire is closer to the size as the production wheel. I can make that work!

Thanks
