Outbound from NW MT to North MN for family reunion!

Sunlight makes our 2021 F350 look black. It's Carbonite grey. ;)

I have no idea WHY we leave Flathead lake at our home in the summer...but hey, it's a family reunion!

Welcome to Minnesota Sportsdad60! We will be heading up north this weekend as well. I’ll keep a lookout for you.

Been in Colorado for a week now and the last four days at Elk Meadow RV in Estes Park. Several other GD rigs here. View from the dinette table.

Everything is still mostly stock, with the main exception of adding a Purple King mattress - well worth the money, IMO.
Will add gen and solar next year, perhaps.

This is our site at Escalante Cabins and RV Park while we are workamping last fall. We worked there in Sept and Oct of 2022. Some of the sunsets and even sunrises were spectacular.

That's gorgeous, Ken. As a Southwest native, I've always said that the sunsets are unrivaled. It's one of the main things we miss as we spend more time back east to be near grandkids. We may winter in NM again this next winter, though, and will be looking forward to seeing my sisters, the best Mexican food on the planet, and the sunsets... in that order.:)

Hey Rob-

Going to be in Las Cruces in April. Where can I find the best Mexican food there?

For the most consistent results, I usually recommend La Posta or Andale - both in La Mesilla (a small, historic village on the west side of town not far from the Interstate and Hacienda RV Resort). Down the road in La Mesa (south of Cruces on the old road), Chope's Bar and Cafe is also excellent - check the days/hours there, though.

Thanks Rob

We haven't made it down to NM yet. We are wintering on the Oregon Coast, so that we will be close to the grandkids in Oregon City. Probably next winter to.

Rob-

Thanks for the recommendations. For NEW Mexican food, the best I've found to date is at Orlando's in Taos.

I have to respectfully disagree, Monroe's in Albuquerque, or possibly Papa Filipes in Albuquerque as well. Good go to is Garcia's in Albuquerque.

I lived in the Albuquerque area for over 25 years. More than anything, I miss the green chili!

Brought this home on my birthday. It was a fun and memorable experience. I am the 4th owner, and just connected with the 2nd owner via a receipt - very nice to get the full story of its history, and now continue the memories.
