Shower Drain

Just don't poke a 'snake' down the drain in case there is a HEPVO valve in there. Not sure about your RV, but in a lot you can remove the wall in the storage area and see under the shower to see what kind of P-Trap it has.

And, again, make sure the tank isn't full first.

We have a 2023 Reflection. Our shower drains extremely slow, not sure what to check, venting? Clog?
Thank you, no it is not full, it’s been doing this since day 1, this is out 3rd trip in it and are here for a while. We took off the drain screen no visible clogs seems like it’s not venting but not sure how to check that

My quick and dirty test is to hook up the black tank flush hose, get on the roof and listen to the vent to determine if you hear the water entering in the tank. The vent pipe carries the sound very well. If you cant hear water splashing in the black tank then you have a blocked vent.

PS, try it after the tank is 1/2 full or so perhaps the vent tube is too low in the tank?

Check for a HEPVO valve. Unscrew and clean it.

Friendly reminder that similar to a traditional P trap, it will be full of water...and the gunk in the rubber sleeve is nasty so have a bucket and rags at the ready when you disassemble it.

I was really surprised how much gunk was in it (hair I expected) since we just shower in there.
