2018 Reflection 303 RLS, dinette side, 2x2 through the frame slide. Long time issue. Closed to ½ way out, normal condition, then loud ear piercing metal on metal sound to full open, then loud ear piercing metal on metal sound to ½ way in, then normal sound to full in.
I did LIP 0065, the 5/16” washer fix on the wear tabs.
The Lippert slide video, https://youtu.be/X1A2q55BfLs shows, step 1-measuring from top of outer tube as close to the I Beam as possible to the room floor, step 2-measure the inner arm to room floor, adjust to within ¼ inch.
I hope this makes sense! My slide outer tubes stop under the fixed floor well before the slide room floor so I can’t measure outer tubes to slide room floor. (See Pic 1) So my step 1 is to measure from the inner arm to bottom of slide room floor. That measurement is 4-9/16” (See pic 2) at about 6” from the end of outer tube.
In step 2, I can measure the outside end of the inner arm to room floor. That measurement is 5-1/16” or 1/2” difference. I would think since I am measuring the inner arm on both ends it should be the same distance, CORRECT? So, I would need to adjust and lower the outside end of slide room the full 1/2”?

Now the real problem, the outside end of the slide room that needs to be lowered, however, it is already at its lowest adjustment (See pic 4) and the head assembly bolts have no more adjustment available. Any Ideas? Thank you.

That sounds frustrating. Have you tried contacting Lippert support directly? Also, there's the owner's school at https://support.lci1.com/rv-owner-training. There's a lot of material there on the different slide configurations. Where your's is an older model, I'm not sure what they'll have on it.

I had the same issue with the squeal. There is an internal tab that rubs on the square bar and will disengage when it gets about 1/2 way in and the weight of the slide tips in towards the trailer. The way that I was able to make this go away is to put a little grease on the top to of the square tube, opposite side of the gear splines. A little dab will do it. Run it in and out a couple of times and it should go away.
