any body seen this before it is on the left side slide out on the back corner

20150316_173753.jpg also on the right side slide out there is no protection in the corners.the other slide has some plastic on the corner

The dealer is going to look into it. 2014 350M. Looks like on the right side slide they forgot to put something over the wall to floor joint, and on the left side slide the joint is Covered but apparently has failed. I am in the process of purchasing this unit and found this on a walk around. Dealer states that there is no warranty since it is used even though it is less than a year old and reportedly only used on one weekend before the owners traded for a class A. I gave pictures to dealer waiting to see what they say.

Welcome to the forum!

That's not what you want to see on a used unit. It would be interesting to hear what the dealer proposes to rectify these issues. As the dealer has indicated, the manufacturer's warranty only applies to the original owner.

GD website says that warranty is transferable within the warranty period (I would assume this to be one year).

Rob

Correct, Rob--coach one and transferable.......Lippert two year frame not. We may be the only ones one the forum "lucky" (Happy St Patrick's Day) enough to find a pre-owned 303 about a year ago and have experienced the top notch GDRV warranty service as second owners.

This warranty information is also included in the owners manual in addition to the website.

Update... dealership has sent pictures to GD. I spoke to GD warranty and was told the warranty will transfer as long as there is time left on it. As to the missing protection on the bottom of the slide GD told me that there was a run of units that they forgot to put the edges on the bottom to sidewall transition. They will send parts to dealer to retrofit, just hope that there is not too much damage to the exposed plywood ends that were exposed to the weather. As to the floor seperating on the couch slide GD was unsure as to the cause. They did say that the inboard wall to floor will have a high chance of seperating if you walk on the slide while retracted As there is no support under floor in that position. They said that the dealership can do all repairs. Waiting for repair before I continue with the purchase process. Hope they fix it to my satisfaction I think I will like the 355.

It is a 355.. parts are on the way from GD. Dear said easy repair on the floor seperating. Looks like we will join the GD club if the repairs are done to my satisfaction. Oticed that the slides are not closing all the way when I ran them In Today I am sure they can be adjusted .any one else have slide issues? 20150324_155607.jpg

Just to update.. repairs made he seperation was due to over tightened floor to wall screws at the factory. 2 of the screws were broken in their holes. the missing covering on the other slide was installed with parts from GD. the bracket that holds the LP and electrical to the kitchen slide was re bolted to frame with 7/16 bolts and nuts instead of the 8 sheetmetal screws from the factory. Great job done by the service dept at Mcclains RV in Rockwall Tx. Took delivery today and am getting settled in to the New rig.

Good to hear ! Post some after fix pictures to compare with the before pictures.....am curious to how things look now. I would also ensure the slide out functions properly and closes/opens fully to achieve the proper seal. It should be a non-issue, but you never know and better now than when camping and negatively impact "happy time."

the repair for the seperation looks like brand new. The tech said he removed trim and replaced the screws and the floor sucked right up to the wall. The other side they put plastic L covering the exposed plywood looks good but I will add some sealant to make it more water proof. I will try for some pictures later. Ran the slides about 10 times seem to work well.

Seriously grandma? A lawsuit? You knew it was like that when you bought it. I think it's a great feature. Kind of like the air scoops on a formula one car. It'll help keep the brakes cool.:p

Grandpa used to tell me that his stock dam had mostly all quality fish in it but every once in a while a bad fish may slip into the pond. He said when you catch one of these, throw it up on the bank for the raccoons to eat.
