I have an Imagine 2600RB with a sofa/dinette slide out. It is stuck in the closed position. The forward end moves but not the back one. I tried the reset with the control panel. Did not help. I unplugged both motors on the control and 3 of us could not move the slide. Apparently there is no manual crank for this slide. I cannot access my bedroom or the thermostat. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

How's the battery voltage? Is it low? You have to remove the 2 motors to be able to move the slide if the motors are faulty. Have you tried to resync them?

Any error codes coming up on the controller?

There is a manual crank area on the opposite side of the camper (right/passenger) where you can use the tool provided (really hard) or a power tool with appropriate socket to open or close the slide. Hopefully this helps and there is not anything bound up.

You have not posted what year your trailer is. 2020 and newer use a rack and pinion system. Older use a Schwintec system. The rack and pinion has a manual method of cranking the slider while the Schwintec doesn't.

Without the proper information on which type of slider mechanism you have means we cannot give you assistance.

If the rig is under warranty, call Grand Design customer service. They can walk you through the problem or put you in contact with a dealer service dept.

This only applies to 2020 or later models with the rack and pinion system. Earlier models had the Schwintec system which doesn't have a manual crank.

2017 Imagine 2600 RB. LOCKED in closed position. How do I get to the motors? Everything I have read is for a slide in the open position.

Yes! 2017 Imagine 2600RB. How do I get to the motors in the closed position to disengage?

Had the same problem two years ago on our Imagine 2150RB. For the Schwintec system, if your slide is stuck closed, hold in on the retract button for 5 seconds. Then try the extend button. This worked for us. From then on when retracting or extending we always held the button for 5 seconds once it finished. This apparently allowed the motors to resync. You have other good suggestions in these other posts. Just thought I'd share what worked for us.
