Do any of the undercarriage parts the RV slideout require periodic lubrication?
If so, how is this done?

Would need to know what coach you have to be able to answer this. There are many different possibilities.

We have a 2024 Grand Design Imagine.

Can you be more specific? There are a number of Imagine floor plans.
The owners manual for ours specifically says not to lubricate the slide mechanism. Most likely to keep dirt and crud from accumulating on it.

I lube the rollers once in a while with CRC. You need to be able to get under there with the slide out and hold back the seal to get to the rollers. Ours has I believe five of them.

Hi Bob,
Do you use a CRC Dry Moly? I am considering getting that to apply to the rack too.

I was using CRC with PTFE for a couple of years but have since changed to WD-40 dry lube with PTFE. I mainly shoot the shoe and track a little before I bring in the slide. I still use the CRC for the rollers under the slide though. The CRC worked good but I did notice it would attract dirt that I needed to clean once in a while.

Thank you for your reply!
I put the WD-40 Dry Lube with the PTFE on the latches.
As soon as the weather breaks, I m going to clean the slide racks and pinions and then coat them with the CRC Dry Moly. I have used the Dry Moly in the past as it does dry and is an excellent with High Pressure Lubricant.
Thanks again and Safe Travels!
