So many Goldens!

Molly got to visit the Brohard Paw Park dog beach in Venice FL last Monday. There must have been about 18 Golden Retrievers there that day -- its hard to count them since they keep going in the water and moving around! We also got a chuckle over the black lab who was just swimming laps - up and down parallel to the beach, just one happy dog. Molly has really enjoyed her swimming, and will try to post a picture when she gets around to updating the blog entry.

We're taking our 337 up to Phoenix for the weekend so we can visit the Brittany puppy we're adopting. We haven't selected from the litter yet, so we'll just play with all of them and get a feel for their personalities. They are five weeks old now, so another three weeks and our new family member will be coming home. We have the 7th pick out of the 8 puppies, so we don't want to get to attached to any one of them yet.

Our Molly and Angel enjoyed some time at Bonita Beach Dog Park, a few weeks back.
They had a great time . . . but they are "fresh water" dogs used to swimming and playing in the St Lawrence River.
They drank quite a bit of water while playing . . . as usual . . . the next part wasn't quite so nice .
(But they got over it quickly)

Our Molly has also been to Bonita Beach. We try to get her to drink fresh water before we go. That helps some. She has also learned some as we occasionally take her to the Chesapeake Bay near home. She prefers fresh water with no waves. The fresh water here in Florida is too scary. She hasn't been in the St Lawrence since we didn't know of a good cove...that is a big scary river. She has been in Oneida Lake, several spots in the Adirondacks, a couple of Finger Lakes, and places in 24 other states.

Our girls our water babies as well and have been Glamping in the mountains in Big Bear, CA. all summer.

Our boy is an English Cream Golden. He is 3 years old and loves the beach and mountains and of course the water
