A couple trips ago I noticed the front idler cover for my Solera awning was missing. After returning from the trip, the other idler cover was gone too. The drive covers for both awning seem to be intact. I was having service done anyway so I brought it to my dealership and asked them to replace the covers under my extended warranty coverage. The claim was denied siting that they likely pulled off in the wind while driving and that isn’t covered. The dealership also told me this happens all the time and they know people that purchase extra covers and just deal with it as it happens. Doesn’t this seem like a manufacturer flaw and oversight to develop a product for a vehicle that can’t stand up to wind speeds produced by towing the vehicle? I mean why should that come off at 70 MPH? Some states have and 85 MPH speed limit, what happens t then? The entire fifth wheel could blow off the frame without warranty coverage?? That’s what these products are meant to do, they should be able to hold up for their intended use.
