Dealers websites seem to list the the GVWR on 2024 and 2025 on Solitude 310s as 15,000 pounds. Yet Grand Designs own web site lists the GVWR as 19,000. What am I missing??

I believe it was sometime in the 2025MY that they increased the GVWR's, not sure that is was from the start of the year though. I believe 2024 was still the old GVWR's. 2025 could have been a mid year change.

Surprised they did it to the 310 being the lightest. Must just want consistency for the whole line

Or the simplest explanation is someone is wrong :ROFLMAO:

I'm going with an error on the spec sheet page on the web site. The brochure still has it at 15,00 lbs. And I didn't see anywhere on the GD website where it said any different. I thought you were able to select disc brake and MorRyde IS bringing up the GVWR but didn't find that option anymore.

I think I'm going with an old brochure being wrong. The brochure still shows 18K on all the big ones and I'm almost certain that they are all 19K now.

SO, it's a combination of a bunch of things....

They had kept the weight of the 310 low for California registrations for a while. Something about different weight requirements for licensing.

There has also been a pin box change on Solitude. The newer MorRyde pinbox is now rated for higher weights and the upper decking reinforced and approved for use with a Gen Y pinbox.

This has all happened withing the last 30 days.

All Solitude are now GVWR at 19,000lbs.

Wow! I would not have guessed that since I had to request 18K GVWR on the order sheet and only with the 8K suspension back then. I wonder what reinforcements were performed because factory added some steel gussets to the low frame near the landing gear and in the cross beam that the wing sets are welded to? That's going to be very heavy up front to get to 19K.

8k axles are standard now and the limiting factor for 18k was the pin box itself.

Let's put it into perspective....empty weight is under 13k. I find it almost impossible to load it with 6000lbs to get close to that gvw.

Odds are, there will be very, very few people that will utilize that full amount of CCC.

Basically it was a move to have a universal GVW across the entire Solitude line.

6000lbs of rocks maybe?
