Solitude 370 DV- ANY COMMENTS?

Not an owner, but when looking at the Solitudes at the Tampa RV show in January, I liked the 370DV the best, if we ever decided to downsize from our 380FL. Just liked the layout -- kitchen space, full shower, and good amount of floor space in the bedroom.

I just took a look at the GD site and as near as I can tell, it’s nearly identical to the 310GK except for a larger bathroom. What I’m curious about is the 1500lb weight increase. Is there more to this that I’m not seeing?

It's two feet longer than the 310GK. The buffet/desk thing with the dinette is new (and heavier). There's a larger bathroom cabinet with double sinks and the refrigerator is 2 cu. ft. larger than the residential in the 310GK-R. I don't know if that all adds up to 1,500 lbs...

I've been looking closely at the 370DV as well. It's actually 3 feet longer than the 310GK. A bit more than 10% longer trailer corresponds to bit more than 10% more weight. All of the additional length is between the kitchen slide and the bedroom slide. Compared to the 310, it allows for a larger bath, much deeper pantry, hall coat closet, wider basement storage and more room between the island and "coffee bar" when in travel mode.

Yes, all improvements there. DW has dis-likes though- No utensil drawer by the stove (just a hidden one behind a door), C-pap shelves by bed are in the way and must go, no extension on the dinning table, white cloth backs on the dinning chairs (will get stained for sure), several light switches are missing, linoleum has yellow in it(?), goofy kitchen sink is not practical.

We went yesterday and looked at the 310GK and the 370DV. My wife LOVED the 370DV, especially the bathroom. Our big concern is the length at 39' versus the 310 at 35'. While we do have a 1 ton with Duramax, it is a single rear axle and a fully loaded Denali, so our curb weight on the truck with full fuel and DEF is 8560 lbs. Max GVWR on the truck is 12,100 lbs. Doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room for us, the trailer, and our gear that would go in the truck. Then there's the parking issue at state/fed/COE parks.
I'm curious if any members on the forum own a 370DV and could tell us their thoughts and experiences with it.

It's interesting that the advertised 'hitch' weight is only 134lbs of the 1500 UVW difference given that it sure looks like most of the length increase over the 310 is ahead of the axles. Can't see much behind the axles that would increase weight although it looks like there is a bit more room between the sofa and the end of the island with a bit more space to squeeze by the front extended recliner and the island.

Those are all very good observations. The 2 that are show stoppers for me are no drawer near the stove, opening acdoor to open a drawer makes no sense to me. White upholstery and no light switches. Those that really "camp" would turn that white to black in no time . In the end it's a copy of one of the old S class floor plans with a couple tweaks
