Hi Folks.

This question is for anyone with a Solitude 378 Mid bunk. Have any of you physically measured their coach tip to tip? Curious if there were a couple of different variations with this floor plan that effect the length. I noticed that some had the washer and dryer prepped for the passenger side of the closet and some have the washer and dryer in the center behind the sliding mirror.

Thanks for any input on this.

We measured our tip to ladder and it is just short of 42'. When I book I always so 42'.

Our washer/dryer is prepped on the passenger side.
Just prior to making this purchase last month I did read that a couple years ago GD moved the prep location and owners were not happy because the door that swung out would sometimes get caught up when the bedroom slide was operated.

Ours is the same. Shortly after we bought ours GD made the change to W/D in the center and more drawers. Not a good layout when we saw it. Not sure what they were thinking but glad they went back for people buying now.

On the subject of layout… Our washer dryer are in the middle. The very first night after picking up the rig from the dealer we camped in the Smokey’s. The drawer under the cabinets on the drivers side either was never closed or opened during the trip. The bedroom slide would not go out all the way. We realized the drawer was wedged between the slide, the wall and the plywood joint under the mattress.

The hardest repair was the hinged mattress plywood. Ended up drilling through and using washers on both sides of the plywood. The cylinders have a bunch of pressure to help lift the mattress, so I was curious why GD didn’t bolt the hinges rather than using only wood screws.

We took the family to Branson last weekend and I spent a bit more time enjoying the new camper.
I commented to Carrie and she agreed this is far superior to our 2018 Cedar Creek in quality.

Towing still not a joy. I think the extra width is troublesome but manageable. Had a little bit of squat so I installed Sumo Springs Rebels. I would recommend them over Air bags.

So far we are glad we made the move from Cedar Creek to the Solitude.

I have sumo springs as well and really like them.
