I have a '21 Solitude S class with front and rear awnings (rear awning on dining slide out). Both have ceased operation lately. When we engage the power switch in the control panel the front awning light flicks on very quickly then off. The rear awning light shows no life at all during the switching operation. As the awning light switch is turned on and off the main living area lights flicker also. All of our mini rocker switches in the panel appear to share a common ground and the main living lights only flicker when the awning light switch is used.
These are the awnings with the light power coming out of the trailer side and sewn into the fabric where the light is actually in the tube. I have checked the obvious on the wire pinched off on the exterior but that all looks good to me. I can note that the awnings work fine, just the lights don't.
I have pulled out the main panel and checked that all switch connections are good. I also did not find a separate fuse near the awning light switch as other posts have mentioned. It appears our lights are only fused by the 2 amp fuse in the main fuse panel. I did also try changing that blade fuse for another one and the front awning still does the quick flicker on and then off.
Before I dive deeper into this, I'm looking for suggestions on where to start to see if there are common areas people have had similar issues. I suspect these wires are buried in the walls but I'm hoping the issue is somewhere I can access.
