Solitude grand design thermostat

Hello, I have a solitude grand design a class and my downstairs thermostat screens go black and the furnace turns on randomly. The brand of the thermostat is Coleman Mach. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Screen going dark could point to bad connection on the 12V supply. That could also cause the random powering of the furnace. OR - that could be caused by poor thermostat connection to the furnace itself. If you can open up your thermostat, just look for a loose connector or terminals. Been on any rough roads lately?

My thermostat went bad too. I replaced it (an easy job). It cost me about $70.
