Spare Tire

We now know how to get the spare tire down. Is there a precaution to keeping the tire from winding down while traveling? We had the spare tire on our Hitchhiker unwind while going down the road and fall off. Thank you. Betsy.

Using the spare tire crank handle to periodically check (and tighten as needed) your under-mount spare tire carrier should be included as part of your routine RV maintenance. And we also recommend using a properly calibrated lug nut wrench to check (and tighten as needed) the lug nuts at the same time.
