Probably not the best (or prettiest) solution but since it's my first "mod" for my new-to-me GD 5er, it's worth a share.
I recently purchased the 4 camera Furrion pack to help me see around this beastie when we're on the road. All worked well until I looked at the image returned by the passenger side camera. The arm of the awning effectively blocks the view of about 3 feet of the side, greatly limiting it's usefulness. I briefly considered mounting the light/camera as an EXTRA unit rust inside the arm, but didn't to do anything that drastic! So instead I cut off a piece of a 4" fence post with a cap on each end to use as a standoff. I mounted the extra piece using the holes used for for the original running light along with a brace system to keep this thing from flexing.
