starlink open to further BETA testing.

I received an email for that yesterday too. $500 for equipment, $50 for shipping plus tax. $99/month. Said speeds would be 50-150mb/sec or min (dont remember which one) and that there would be intermittent outages. I decided to pass.

Also note that coverage is limited to certain areas by parts of the system that are activated.

I don't think you can use it for calling, just data.....I believe. Would be something to think about if it did.
Actually, all three major carries offer WiFi calling, so... It is possible. Either that or get a VoIP setup. You can also use Google Voice from your computer or mobile device. That is actually what I use.

The beta program is geo-locked to a few miles of the service address on file. So not suitable for RV use, yet. I imagine they will offer a mobile version eventually.

Is the ground floor price going to be lower then the regular price down the road?

Sirius/XM went up, up, up in the first years. I expect the same here.
Look for offers for lifetime price lock and never let it go. There are a handful of fully paid grandfathered XM receivers now, but the company hates them and tries to get them shutdown. First prices offered are always best, and be sure to read the fine print.
