Starlink or ???

Yes but as Second Chance mentioned, you'll need to use the mobile plan. In Canada, its $20 more a month. The other advantage with that plan is you can stop it and restart it anytime. Stopping it is not instant in the sense that it stop at the end of the bill cycle. However,, if you're the type of RVer that travels to a destination and stay there for weeks, you could get by with using the regular plan and simply moving your address. Some have been able to get away with it. When we travel, we are at a different spot every other day so we opted for the mobile plan and keep our regular internet provider at home.

Thank you, and Rob Second Chance for the responses. I'll have to dig into the details some more before making a decision but since I currently have cable at home, it sounds like Starlink with the mobile plan may be a better solution.

For what it's worth, we also have cable at home which is great for internet (when it isn't down). But our cell service over the past 30 years has degraded so much (and neither carrier has plans to upgrade us) that when we lose power/cable (and that happens a lot) we can't get to any website on our phones and even our phone calls and texts don't go through. We are also surrounded by tall trees. After last season (and no cell service whatsoever in Custer State Park) we ordered Starlink Roam. I tested it out in my driveway with the dishy set in between the house and RV (East and South) and tall trees West and North. Was actually surprised at the download and upload speeds. It did vary in the evening a bit, but only for a short minute or two. One reason I didn't permanently mount the router in the RV. Will be testing it out this year on our trip west to the northern parks since we both work part-time while on the road. Good luck.
