This morning at 0530 I thought I would set outside and enjoy the morning cool air before the heat of the day sets in. I was impressed with the sights and sounds of a new day dawning while sipping my freshly ground morning coffee. The moon setting in the west while the sun coming up in the east. The morning fog starting to burning off in the pasture behind our campsite to expose the far away hills.

I couldn't help but notice the symphony of sounds I was experiencing, the crickets, cardinals, mockingbirds and morning doves starting to wake up, and off in the distance an owl's last call of the night. A deer walking by our campsite while I was not ready to capture the sight. I said good morning to my camp site visitor, but she just snorted at the silly human and walked on by.
As the morning moves on to near 0630, the wonderful morning sights and sounds of nature are rudely interrupted by the intermittent sounds of humans, engines starting and off in the distance a train whistle.

I thought to myself this is what it's all about, forgetting the madness and the hustle and bustle for just an hour. Get outside and listen. As our friends Stacey and Tom are fond of saying, "experience life, don't just live it. It's a good way to start the morning!

What an awesome read, it's a great way to end our day reading your story. And you're right it's mornings like that, that make it all worth it.

Early morning is a great time of day.
Thks for posting

It is. I hate getting up before 6am, but always glad I did after the fact. One of the dogs got me up early to go out this morning. Worth it for the cool air, sound of birds and early sun in Angel Fire this AM.

My wife and I enjoy the early mornings more than any other part of the day. If at home we sit outside drinking our coffee and listen to the birds. Our home sits surrounded by woods and only a few neighbors. When we are in the RV we do the same thing and we stay at either state parks or COE campgrounds.
