On my recent trip to Mississippi from Colorado over Christmas (without the trailer) I started noticing a lot of signs for State parks across MN, TX, and La. I can look up each state without too much trouble, but site information is sketchy. You know how gooberment web pages are :D

Is there a site or publication that would list all the State Park camping information along my routes to aid in making reservations (if required). Would be great if it included other non glamping (private RV Parks) places to stop like BLM, Corps, etc. I can boon doc for several days if needed. If the weather is hot having just electric would be good. I always carry water.

A publication would be good so DW could read about the choices as I drive and then use the cell to reserve a spot.

Thanks in advance

How about purchasing a Good Sam North American Campground Guide? Thick but it might help.

Or use the RV Life app and set the filter to show only state or federal or BLM or COE parks?

The RV Life app is the most consistent solution I've found.

If don't want an app, the book RV Camping in State Parks has a map of the state parks for each state, and very basic information (one paragraph per park). I looked at the sample on Amazon and decided it didn't have enough information to be worth it for me. For certain regions/states, you can get books that list the campgrounds along with more information about each one.

RV Trip Wizard is the best campsite / route planner. We have been traveling a lot as full time travelers. It's well worth the money.

Here is a few screenshots.

I use a combination. I start with the RV Life trip wizard to plan my route and look up the CG info. I also read all the reviews and look at all the photos on RVLife and Google. I will also go to Youtube and find a CG tour video. So far so good.
