Every time it rains with the slide outs retracted, I get splashed with water when I open the off-door pass thru compartment door under the Schwintek slide out . The water seems to sit on top of the door frame – never puddles inside on the pass thru floor. Invariably, that water runs down into the One Control Touch Pad when I open the door (and on at least one occasion, it failed to function with continuous errors until it dried out). I also notice that on that same corner of the pass thru, the glued carpeting on the wall directly behind the propane compartment and closest to the One Control is separating from the wall. I always figured that was just a glue issue. I could never figure why the pass through door seemed to have water on the top frame but no puddles inside on the pass thru floor. However, this is directly below the swollen sub-floor section underneath the slide out box.
For all I know there could be a roof leak running down or a seal leak in the slide out since the dealer replace the entire Schwintek system under Lipperts TSB. Never thought much of the water on top of the door frame that didn’t seem to intrude into the pass thru (the door seal is working correctly) but has me wondering now if there isn’t an insidious leak somewhere above.
Below are pictures of the warped floor, and the propane compartment rust directly below.
Thanks,
John
