Seen these sun shads that attach to the roller on the awning. We have a 310gk. It has 2 awnings at difference heights. Has anyone out there with a 310gk bought these sun shads for their awnings?

We are very interested. Any recommendations on what sizes to get? Pros and cons?

Thanks

We bought a screen shade for the long front awning which extends down to near the ground and is staked down. It provides a shaded cooler area around the door, and in gentle winds it helps to stabilize the awning. A zipper, about 3' from the top, allows the bottom section to be removed. The 3' upper section alone provides a good deal of shade, needs no setup effort, and rolls up with the awning without adding noticeable bulk.
Because of past experience with wind gusts we never leave the rig with awnings out. Considering the setup work, since September we have put on the bottom section one time.
We do enjoy the shade from the upper 3' section though. Search Amazon for RV Awning Shade Screen with Zipper.

Thank you, i thought the idea is great. Seen some in florida on a few solitude 310gk. Just forgot to ask if what sizes i would need for my 5th wheel? Length to the ground for a 310gk. Thanks again for the reply

We have had them for both of our trailers. We haven’t used them often, but they are nice to have when you end up in the odd spot that really gets slammed in the sun. The bit that stays on the roller is helpful, and does not interfere with putting the awning in/out. The bit that zippers on must be removed and reattached for rollups. Also, if you don’t tie it down it will swing in the breeze and be a nuisance.

It’s also worth noting these shades cut a certain % of the sun, but not all of it like the awning does.

Length along the awning roller is important: a little shorter than the roller itself. Ours is 15'3'.
Length to the ground isn't critical, you can just move the stakes in and out.

We also have the same two piece system. We also have a side piece that we can move to either end as needed. Got these from Shade Pro in Yuma, AZ. They also installed shades at each of our outside windows.
