Howdy. We have a 2016 Solitude 379FL that we bought slightly used in 2017 when it was still under warranty. In a nutshell, I had to swap tires left to right due to checking from being in direct sunlight while stored at home (we have since started covering them up).

What I found was that the tires on the front axles were badly worn on the insides of the treads while the rear tires showed hardly any wear at all. This is when I climbed under the unit and saw a very obviously swayback front axle while the rear axle showed an obvious camber (as it should have)! Our Solitude is ALWAYS level with the Level-Up jacks down whenever it is parked, somewhat reducing the weight on the axles.

I truly believe these axles were made 'borderline' to start with but should still be able to carry the rated load. I just can't believe we ever overloaded our Solitude to the point where axles would bend swayback?

So I understand that at some point in the near future I will have to upgrade to 8K axles which I can do myself when I find the time. I just want to know... Are others noticing this same issue on their Solitudes, and, if so, how should I go about procuring them...Lippert, Dexter?

Has anyone (or everyone) ever had this problem?

Thanks for reading!

I agree. I'm just so mad at myself that I didn't even think to look at the axles when we bought the 379FL used while it was still under warranty. I never would have thought then that this would even be an issue!

Don't be mad. If we do not make mistakes, then we are not breathing.
I don't think the warranty transfers to the next owner anyways.
And there are quite a few worse things that can happen. delamination, bent frame, lots of possible plumbing issues, etc. A bent axle doesn't make my top 5, probably not even top ten.. They are pretty cheap, and not tecnically hard to install. Get a couple of buddies, some jacks and some beer for when you are done....Then invite your helpers to come along on a trip with you. Soon it will just be a memory...At 62, some of my best memories were incredibly difficult things to experience at the time

All good. But yes, the warranty was transferrable. The unit was in the previous owner's possession for about 6 months.

When we got it the recliners were mounted too low to the ground and the footrests self-destructed. I asked for parts and they sent me two new recliners...with heated seats! I told them that the flush lever would sometimes stick...they sent me a new toilet. They also sent a replacement drawer that was made incorrectly.

Thanks for the offer, but I've never tasted beer and I'm too old to start now...!;)
