A few reasons. Kids messing with it, one of ours is 3 who loves buttons. With the landing gear switch on the outside, it makes it extremely easy to steal the trailer, prevent anyone messing with the leveling at a campsite(not everyone is nice or can be trusted not to mess with it).Why would you want to turn it off? Accidental adjustment?
The issue is GD recently started putting this controller on the front of the 5th wheel, on the outside. There is no door to lock.Locking a cabinet door would help with this?
Only kid we have is the wife, so I’m good there.

That's how my 399 was, and I liked it. I mainly use the One Control app for leveling except for pressing auto level or disconnecting from the truck. I just want to prevent other people from being able to control my landing gear; i guess GD didnt consider this when moving the controller location.Every time we need to level our coach, I am thankful that our controls are mounted inside our locked basement, AND, that the controls are mounted on a hinged door that swings open to allow easy access to, and reading of, the controls.
My wife says it's the other way around. [emoji1]Locking a cabinet door would help with this?
