Apparently it is now 7" shorter than in 2019.

Mine is listed at 34' 11" in the 2018/9 brochure. Looking at the GD web site today it is listed as 34' 4".

Pretty odd! Probably nothing more than another blunder and oversight due to no quality inspections on anything anymore. But interesting none-the-less.

My '18 was listed the same. But soon after buying it, I measured considerably longer. Back then I believe they measured from the pin to the back wall. I measured from the front to the rear bumper & got more than two feet longer than listed.

I put it in the useless information file.

I should move this over to the humor section of the forum.... It's more a rhetorical post than anything else. Anyhow..... it's a slow day....

My whole mash-up measures just at 38' with a bike rack on the back. Most of the time I just tell campgrounds I'm 40'.

I reserved a 35" foot site once; was told at check in I wouldn't fit in their 35' site and they offered to move me up to a 40' site. I agreed but before they could move me I had to try to fit in the 35' site. Even had one of the "I'm in charge here" campground hosts (the hero of the group) pull out a measuring wheel to show me I was over 35'. I suggested he move before I back over him while parking in the 35' site - he did, I parked - he went away..... geesh...... ya know???? Measurements all seem relative......

We bought our camper thinking it would fit in our 36ft barn.
Had to extend the barn .
Just fyi

I'm not sure if it is still like this, but at the time mine was built, as many others, the official published length was from the center of the hitch pin, to the furthest most point on the rear of the trailer......excluding an awning if you have one and the door handles for the garage ramp/patio or deck. Mine is about 18" longer than the published length if you measure from the nose to the back of the trailer like I just described.

AS Xrated said all manufacturers measure the same way. From 5th wheels they go from in to the farthest point in the rear. Travel trailers go from the tongue to the rear.
