We're towing with a 2003 F350...6.0 Diesel. Luckily we have one of the good ones!
We've been driving all around the Appalachians/Blue Ridge mtns for the past 5 weeks with grades up to 13%. Some of the towing has been on the back roads, not all interstate driving. We're happy with the way our truck has handled all of this. Even the steepest grades the rpms never hit over 3000. Towing mileage has been between 11 to 12 mpg, on the worst steep winding back roads it went to down to 9mpg.
You want any further technical info you wont get it from me, Gary will have to chime in there.

Sounds like you guys have had quite an adventure Marcy!
Allen and I are stuck at home right now. I had a total knee replacement last Friday so it cut our season short!! :+(

Glad you are having a good trip and the truck is doing fine. Hope that you miss the snow predicted for tonight.

We are headed home today, and will winterize before it goes to storage.

Sandi I hope you heal up fast, therapy should have you working hard in no time.

Kay I (kind of) hope we miss the snow too, were in Cumberland Gap NP right now and it could go either way.
We're getting a slow lazy start today, it's kind of drizzly. If we get
snow I'll enjoy it from the comfortable big window view of our 303

Marcy
