Can anyone tell me the model of toilet used in my 2024 Reflection? I would like to find a schematic and order a spare seal for the flush. Is this the same part used in a dometic 310?

If I remember correctly, you need to separate the bowl from the base to replace the seal. Disassembly is not necessary with the Dometic 310

I think you are correct. I found a YouTube showing what appeared to be my model. It looks like more of an issue than the Domestic. I just hope the Thedford seal holds up better!

To help the seal live longer add some oil, enough to cover the seal. We use what ever is in the kitchen. Add to an empty bowl and let it soak for about 3 hours. Our seal is just starting to give after 10 years.

We decided when it comes time to replace the seal that we will get the Dometic 310 or 320. That time is almost here

That is great time on a seal. I've had 310s in other campers and the seals rarely made it one season. I tried oil, Vaseline, etc ob them.

As mentioned, should be the Aqua Magic and you do need to split it to change the seal. Whomever Thetford switched to to supply their seals was a bad move. The seals seem to last only a third of the life they used to, even if you condition them. I swaped in a Dometic 320 and have no regrets.

I have the Thetford Aqua Magic II. For whatever reason I cannot keep the "waste ball seal" (the one that holds the water in bowl) working. This will be the third one since 2021. Actually, it needed replacing last year. Additionally, I only use my RV during the months of Oct, Nov and the first two weeks of December. I always used plumbers' grease and left the bowl holding either water or antifreeze.

I had the same bad experience with the Dometic 310. I was hoping for better with Thetford.

Thetford model 42070. They are terrible. I have just replaced both toilets in our 2024 reflection after having both toilets fail within 6 months. Dometic 310 design is much superior.

You may want to look in the black bag that GD gave you. Ours has all the booklets from the manufacturers of the components installed

We replaced the Thetford toilet in our 31MB after the second seal went bad. We installed a Dometic 310 less than a year ago and have already had to replace the seal. The seals I bought were much more flimsy than the oem and I couldn’t install. Cleaned the original real good then soaked in hot water. I got another couple os trips out of it but now time to replace. I’ll attempt when not as hot and my patience aren’t as thin.

I've had dometic toilets and that seal was a constant issue. Boiling water was the best solution that found. I used name brand and off brand seals with equal performance. This is my first Thetford and I'm hopeful.

If you lube the seal in any brand toilet, don’t use petroleum based lube such as Vaseline. It may degrade some seal materials. Plumbers grease is made to be compatible with such seals.
