Wife , kids and I currently enjoy our 2020 3000qb. However we have fallen in love with the Solitude 3740 BH. It’s a big change. I currently drive a 2020 Ram 2500 diesel Laramie 4 x4 with 3.73 gears. Is this truck enough to pull this new Solitude? I have seen a lot of ranges for my trucks capabilities. Any help would be much appreciated.. we are also looking at the Reflection 31MB.

In short, no. Loaded, the 3740BH will put about 3,800 lbs. on the pin (it's all about payload with fifth wheels - not towing capacity). That's probably in dual rear wheel territory.

As a rule of thumb, use 23% of a fifth wheel's GVWR for an estimate of loaded pin weight. Get the numbers off your truck's door sticker and put everything in this calculator:

Then do some reading here:

I agree that you won't have the payload capacity. I have a 21 2500 diesel Bighorn and my payload is 2224 lb. Yours will likely be around 2000 with the extra goodies in the Laramie package.
Aside from that hauling the weight would be a piece of cake for the drivetrain.

We have a 31MB, and the pin weight on that ready to go camping with a full fresh water tank(sits just behind the axles) is about 2,100 pounds.
