Thinking Of Upgrading To 313

First day here! We are thinking of upgrading from a Wilderness Terry to the Reflection 313 and would really appreciate any feedback for those that own one. The price seems really high at around $40,000 but I'm assuming that is because of quality and service.

Any thoughts would be most appreciated. Thanks!

First, I got mine for $35,000 with an $800 Reese hitch included. I got that price from several different dealers. Second, the 313 is a great trailer with a fantastic floorplan. The quaility is above that of other brands, but what really sells the Grand Design trailers is the customer service. As typical in the industry, every TT and 5er will have issues, but GD is truly in a class of its own when it comes to taking care of these issues. I personally have only had a couple of very minor problems, all but one I have been able to fix myself. But I am working in NM and can't get the last one (fireplace that works in reverse) fixed right now. I was able to talk directly with Grand Design Customer Service and they will repair/replace my fireplace under warranty, even if the warranty has expired. All in all, I'm very happy so far...but I don't have that many miles on mine yet, so there could be problems waiting in the wings. A lot of people have had problems with axles/brakes of various GD models. But you'll get that with any brand.

Thank you for that feedback. Did you have a trade in for that price?

Nope, no trade. $35K seems to be the going rate. I was shopping around for mine (looking for certain options...not price shopping) and got the $35K quote from five or six dealers. A friend picked his up today (after seeing mine!) and he is paying $37K but he is getting slide toppers...which I didn't even know was an option :-(.

Offer $35K. If they won't play ball, walk. There are other dealers.

The MSRP is around 46K and depending on the time of the year and local market you can usually get $10K off the MSRP. When you look in the height of the season, like right now, you wont get the best deal. See if there are any shows gong on, that's usually the best place to get a deal.

We have a Reflection 5th wheel. So I can't speak of the exact model you want. But Grand Design quality is better than most, and customer service is the best of all. We have had ours 14 months and love it. Ours listed for 58k, we paid about 45k.

+1 on 30% or more, especially if you wait till the slow season arrives. We placed our order on 12/27 for a build to order. It was pretty slow around Christmas at a big dealer in the south and they were willing to make a deal. Some manufacturers give dealers an incentive to make a deal so they can keep folks working. We had looked at quite a few TTs and liked the GD best, looks like some of the others are catching up in 2016 though.

You are lucky you are in the south. I live in NH and ordered ours beginning of May. I made sure ours was not going to be delivered in the middle of winter with all the salt they use on the roads in the Northeast!

We have had our Reflection 303 for a little over 1 year. Minor issues mostly fixed by me. Frig died but that was a Atwood problem that many owners were having. Defective part. Dealer fixed that. I'm Glad mine died under warranty and know it's way colder that it was when the first day I bought it! Grand Design Customer Service is Top notch for taking care of us. Anything I have needed they have sent it to me.

We own a 2015 313 TT, had a few minor problems but have all been fixed or are being fixed soon. We love our GD and would recommend to anyone! through this great site we found the very simple fix to being able to use both grey tanks. Again we love ours and are totally sold on the GD brand!
