Ah, my 18" has the piezo-electric ignitor also. Yours doesn't even clack when your turn it? If it doesn't then it is faulty. Then you have two choices, replace it with a battery powered one, my choice, or contact Blackstone and have them replace it.

However still check the ignitor tip and make sure it is the correct distance from the flame tube.

If you don't currently have a griddle or flat top cooker then YES! You need to get one. As I said in my previous post, the versatility in what you can cook (everything) is the biggest benefit for my wife and I. Our 22" has the dome lid that can be closed while cooking. So we are going to try some pizza this weekend.

Well, it took a while, but picked up a 22" model yesterday.
