Greetings from Southwest Florida,

It appears Elsa will be headed up the coast of where we live. Recently purchased 310 GK-R is in an RV resort on a concrete slab with D ring anchors in the concrete. Looking for guidance to secure the rig to the D-Rings. I have a few cheap 8 foot tie downs and headed to home depot this AM to pick up a few more bigger ratchet straps.

Appreciate any advise.

Thanks in advance,

Happy Fourth

Craig

About the only spots I can think of would be the suspension hangers or get creative and tie down the tires themselves.
To much pressure on the axle could cause issues. Another thought is to go over the trailer and cushion where a strap would make contact with the roofing.

OR you can hitch up and either creep along or sit still on the freeway with everyone else vacating;

Thanks for the reply.

I put 2 on the back hitch as it had holes in it and one large ratchet strap through the back of the MORryde. Filled the fresh tank which should add about 700lbs.
Thought about the strap over the top, but was concerned about pressure bending something. Will take a look tomorrow.

Thanks again,

Craig

Too much pressure over the top could cause potential problems. Is there any way to stabilize the front off the king pin? Do that and you should be good unless it turns real ugly.

We have been through some 80 +mph winds during storms in our 303 while in wintering in Bradenton. The trailer was swaying very little but enough to make me a little nervous. That's was when the tornado passed a few miles south b4 it landed in Duette.
