Just got new 2025 GD Solitude with preinstalled Tire Linc system. Comes with a display unit so no app required. They (the dealership) said easy to pair up. Tried going through the pairing process with what I assume are internal sensors (as confirmed by dealership) with no success. Anyone with the same system and issue? Is there a trick to pairing display with sensors? When it says tire linc preinstalled are there really internal sensors? TIA.

I don't know if the pairing process has changed - ours came with the valve stem cap sensors. But that pairing process was the most frustrating experience. I'd get to the last tire, pairing would fail, and the app would say start all over again. It would take 3-4 attempts to get them paired and I had to swap out cap sensors on the wheels to get it to fully pair. When I called Tire Linc support, I was told that there was a new receiver with a firmware upgrade that would fix the problems - it didn't. I finally gave up on it and bought a TST system to replace Tire Linc.

That's what I was wondering. Maybe just the repeater is preinstalled and I had to BUY the sensors separately. If that is the case than I might as well use the tireminder sensors that I had for the previous trailer. Also read on another forum that Tire Linc was not compatible with Lithium batteries because of the voltage difference between Lead Acid and Lithium. Don't know if true or not.

For some reason, I'm thinking GD switched to internal sensors and away from the caps around 2023. Mine came with a box with the repeater and four cap sensors. I suspect you have internal sensors. The base of the repeater was already installed in the pass thru - i just had to snap the repeater in. The entire process was a mess because I had to sync a fob which stays in the truck with it before the tires would sync.

As far as lithiums go, I've had lithiums from day one so it will work - eventually.

If it does have internal sensors, I seem to recall that putting two sensors on a valve stem (internal and external) can cause some issues in accuracy. Again, memory is foggy there.

You may be right because I find no YouTube videos talking about the internal sensors using the display unit.

Thank you for confirming lithium batteries.

I did use some Tireminder sensors on my Ford truck which has internal sensors and they seemed to work ok although every now and then I get sensor lost error.

What is this fob you’re talking about? I got no fob in my tire linc box.

I’ve got a ‘24 Solitude with the same setup. They are internal sensors. They can be tricky to pair. I can easily pair 3 and one always gives me trouble. You can use the little screen they give you, but I believe you can also view them in the one connect app if you set that up for it. Maybe even in a Lippert app.

That’s good to hear someone has some success. I’ve held that display unit opposite of the 1st valve as per instructions for more than 2 minutes and still doesn’t register. Is that what you did? Do I need to re-pair to the repeater? Should the status light on the repeater be green (or off)?

The fob is on the right and it is the most annoying thing I've ever had in my truck - beeping every couple of minutes. Note also that I do not have a display - just the app to work with on my phone. As @txloser confirms, you likely have the internal sensors. Internal or external, darn annoying to set up each spring since I pull the sensors off to protect the batteries.

GD is replacing my tires and wheels due to Lippert chassis mis-alignment issues so I'm not sure what I'm going to get back and I really don't want anything to with Tire Linc - I have three repeaters and 10 sensors, and two mounts and they have never performed well.

I had to move the repeater closer to the axles in order to get the internal sensors to pair. Now the display unit frequently loses connection to the repeater while traveling. Not the best system. Needs a signal booster for longer trailers I guess.

Our 2022 310GK-R had the screw-on cap sensors. We would lose connection periodically and one tire kept losing air. I had a tire shop install Ford sensors internally which integrate with the truck. We are happy with that decision.

We were not a fan of the screw-on sensors. If GD went with internal sensors, great, but we did have issues with connectivity having to repair the sensor often, which was frustrating. I know this post isn't much help and maybe I'm just venting....

Your new Solitude has internal band type sensors.

The unit inside is opposite of the tire fill valve on the wheel. I think they tell you to hold the monitor close to the wheel, opposite the valve stem to pair.

That’s what I did for the longest time and still nothing happens. Can’t get past the first sensor. Thought I was doing something wrong so that’s why I reached out. Thanks!

While I can’t comment on your specific question (I don’t have your setup), I can suggest, from experience with Tire Linc problems, is to call Lippert CS directly. The dealer and GD CS were not knowledgeable and gave me inaccurate advice, or didn’t have a clue. Good luck.

FYI....have a 2024 reflection 303rls. we had it out 2 times this summer and the tps worked well. Rv sat for 4 months and leaving Dec 28th. The moniter was working up to 3 days before we left. It was cold and I did not fool with it until today in Florida. I called Lippert and tech had me pull the cover off the tps in storage area and reinstalled it. That reset the unit and it is working again.

Hope this may help someone

We purchased a 2024 Influence with the same setup. TireLinc paired at the dealership and quit on the way home. Several attempts to pair failed. Could maybe get 1 tire to pair. Lippert said all four internal sensors were faulty. I said statistically improbable and emailed Grand Design. The sent me another repeater and all four tires paired up easily. First trip sensors randomly would lose signals for awhile, rendering the system useless. I moved the repeater from the back of the basement to the front. The repeater has to face the tires so I installed it inside the front basement wall facing the rear. Works wonderfully now.

Re-read the instructions. You have to push and release one of the buttons when you do it for each sensor. Just holding it there won’t work.

Below is from the manual - step 2 is key. At first I didn’t do that and couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t pair. Hope is is that simple for you too.

Learn All Sensors
A screen will appear on the display for five seconds (Fig. 3) before automatically transitioning to the
notifications received before sensor learning takes place.
1. After entering the Learn All Sensors mode, hold the LCD display close to the sidewall in the area
opposite the valve stem of the tire to be paired (Fig. 12).
2. Tap and hold the sync button on the LCD display (Fig. 4) to pair the sensor until the display beeps and
the red flashing circle turns green.
3. The display will feature a red dot (Fig. 13A) representing the tire that is being paired, which will then
turn green (Fig. 14A) when it is successfully paired (Figs. 13 and 14)
.
4. When pairing has been completed, the display will ask if another vehicle is to be added to the
system (Fig. 15). If tapping YES, pair the additional sensors in the proper sequence. If not, continue to
Configure All Thresholds.

We had this same problem with our new 2023 GD. Salesperson told us we needed to purchases the sensors that screw on the stems so that's what I did. THIS WAS NOT CORRECT. The tire sensors are internal, no need for valve stem unit. After not being able to get them to pair I called Lippert. They said I shouldn't have bought them and were great about letting me return them, but anyway, it turned out the software on the brand new rig was not up to date. Our Lazy Days dealer was useless in helping us get the relay unit in the pass through replaced, and again, Lippert was great about helping us. If you're having a problem connecting I'd call Lippert as they may be able to trouble shoot it better than anyone else's anecdotes. I was able to give them the serial number which helped them diagnose. Also, you can't use an app and have to use the monitor included with the TPMS package. This has been the next problem as the cord got loose and it won't charge so guess I have to spend $200 for a new one and make sure it's charged before travel because trying to plug in the short little cord while driving I think led to it's demise. Not a great product.

I not at my truck now but I believe it’s just a usb c or mini cord. You can pick one up anywhere.

If you already have tirminder sensors...don't bother wasting your time with the tirelinc. It is unreliable even after you get it set up. Random alarms for no reason. Comm loss with no alarm. At least that was my experience.

I bought a new cord and that didn't work, still falls out. Anyway, was posting regarding original poster's problem, not mine. Just my 2 cents that it overall is not a great product. Thanks.
