tire linc

Just got new 2025 GD Solitude with preinstalled Tire Linc system. Comes with a display unit so no app required. They (the dealership) said easy to pair up. Tried going through the pairing process with what I assume are internal sensors (as confirmed by dealership) with no success. Anyone with the same system and issue? Is there a trick to pairing display with sensors? When it says tire linc preinstalled are there really internal sensors? TIA.
We had the same problem with our 2023 Solitude. Here’s what finally fixed it. Lippert sent us an updated repeater with the latest SW. Call them & make sure you have the latest SW Version. It’s the letter at the end of the # on the back of the repeater. When that didn’t fix the problem, it took several more calls with Lippert to get the right person to tell us that GD is placing the repeater too close to the lithium batteries. Mine was installed right behind the batteries on the inside of the pass thru. Luckily GD was on that phone call too. My dealership moved the repeater slightly (per the GD work instructions) & they then paired all sensors. Some notes. If your valve stem has a green top that indicates internal sensors are installed. After the “fix” the sensor display consistently loses connection with sensors intermittently- it’s certainly not a robust system, but the sensor connection comes back & at least gives you reference point on all the pressures & temperatures.

As a side note to this thread we had continual issues with our DC refrigerator. It’s been replaced twice & repaired several times in a year & a half. With the installation of the last fridge in October, my dealership installed a voltage & current regulator in line with the fridge. The theory is when the lithium batteries get low & then they start recharging, they put out above 14 VDC which fries the circuit board in the fridge. I mention this in this thread because the dealership also installed the same voltage/current limiting circuit in line with the TPMS repeater. Not sure if it is needed, but the fridge seems to be working better.

Mine came with green caps - no internal sensors, just a box with repeater and four screw on sensor caps. In automotive world, green caps mean tires are filled with nitrogen.

Our 2024 Imagine 2970RL is our 3rd trailer in the last 12 years. Up to this point we have used Tire Minder and it has been very reliable. Our new Imagine came with Tire Linc and all I can say is; it does not inspire confidence at all. It has lost sync with the sensors 3 times during trips which requires going through the process of removing them so they go to 0-psi then re-install to sync again. Lippert updated the app recently which brings Tire Linc into their “One Control” app and the first thing it did was lose sync after only 4 days. I don’t trust Tire Linc to report a problem because you’ll never know if it lost sync while driving. Going back to Tire Minder which uses a display that has nothing to do with some stupid app that may have software bugs. When a system completely loses sync requiring you to set it all up from scratch over and over it is NOT a good product to use for monitoring tire pressures.

If half of the stuff that fails with Lippert or Furion on the label stopped failing ,we wouldn't have much to discuss except camping locations and "my trucks better than yours"

Tire Linc is unreliable and this is unacceptable. The fact that it can lose sync so easily and you don’t even know it, is a deal breaker. It’s frustrating to going around to each sensor 3 times in one month like you’re setting it up for the first time. I personally think it’s a software bug in the app because it randomly boots your trailer model and vin and asks you to set up from the beginning like it’s the first time.

Have another long trip coming up, so tire linc gets yanked today and replaced with Tire Minder which has always worked reliably.

PDI tech advised me not to purchase the Tirelinc monitor, etc. even though the trailer is pre wired for it. Said it’s not reliable.

I still use Tire Linc on my 2022 Imagine and since the most recent app update, it has worked better than ever before. But I still don’t really like it. One of it’s biggest weaknesses is if my iPhone updates, the app may become unstable and unworkable.

The fob is on the right and it is the most annoying thing I've ever had in my truck - beeping every couple of minutes.
I agree about the fob, I just tossed it and rely on the app. I never understand how something so bad makes it into production.
