We have probably all learned that cooking toast is the quickest way to test the smoke alarm. It goes off every time! Here's a chuckle... This morning my husband wanted toast but no hassle with getting the toaster out (we are leaving this campground in an hour or so) and we learned that cooking toast on a fork over a stove burner also sets off the alarm.

We are used to it, although the dog doesn't like it, just thought I would share.

Soon as I saw the title I knew what this post was about LOL. I decided I'm making toast outside under the awning from now on. I about jumped out of my skin when that alarm went off. We never had toast issues in the old TT.
And the poor dogs, I think they suffer worse than we do.

I usually cook sausage or bacon and run the vent under the microwave as well as the vent fan in the ceiling. So far the smoke alarm has not gone off....I guess the vent is pulling the smoke up and out before it reaches the alarm! Do you ladies run the vents also?

Renee, that is just to darn logical turning a vent fan on. It was cold out, no fans running at the time.
But the stove vent will get turned on. If the alarm goes off, the toaster is back to toasting outdoors.

We had the same issue with our previous rig. So nice to no longer have to put the toaster on a step stool by the couch so that it doesn't trip the breaker with the coffeepot. We can put both on the hutch countertop.

Don't you know that the alarm is merely the reminder to turn on the vent fan.

I replaced the vent fan with a vortex , moves more air for about 50$
