Toilet Paper clog in the Black Tank

FWIW, here's my thoughts.

Flushing: We use tp for an initial wipe, which goes into the toilet. After that, to get completely clean, we use disposable wipes, which go into the trash can right next to the toilet. We start with only a small amount of water in the toilet, then add water as needed to fill the bowl fairly full, then flush. That habit means that we don't have much water in the bowl when traveling but still lets us use plenty of water to flush.

Dumping: I let about a gallon of grey water out first so that the hose is wet and to make sure that everything is properly connected. Then I close the grey valve and open the black. Some trailers have a tank flush connection on the Nautilus panel, which sprays the black tank. Ours does, but there is a leak at the connection that I need to fix, so I connect a hose to the clear plastic tube and flush the black tank some that way. Then I close the valve at the hose connection point and open one of the grey tank valves. That lets grey water into the black tank. Close the grey valve, open the final valve and dump. I do that until both grey tanks are pretty empty, then close the two grey valves, let the black get closer to empty, then flush with the hose, close the black valve and drain the last of the grey tanks. Finally, with the three tank valves closed I let the hose rinse the piles and sticky slinky for a few seconds. Turn the water off and put everything away.

Thank sensors, especially those on the black tanks, are notorious for saying the tank is full when you have just finished dumping. We always run off of our fresh water tank, so when the fresh is getting low it is time to dump and fill. Depending on where we are staying, that happens 2-3 times per week.

Hello,
I have another toilet paper clog in the blank tank ...again.
..Is there anything I can do to try myself other than filling up with water and flushing, which I've done 3 times now to ono avail?

I install Toronado sprayers in my black and gray tanks, on the opposite end from the drain. Those help to keep the sensors clean and eliminate buildup. However, from your description I think you must have some buildup that the paper is catching on. I've never had this happen, so I'm just thinking this through. I'd put a camera down the toilet hole to see what's happening. Worst case you can replace the tank.
This is RV Sewer 101, but make sure your black tank valve is shut until you dump. The gray can stay open.

Sorry to say but putting ice down into your black tank has been proven several times to do absolutely nothing.

One would need a LOT of ice, as it would melt really fast due to the volume in the tank being MUCH greater than the ice, turning into water....The water will help though. Probably just adding water will give the same result as ice

I have used ice and I can tell you from experience it works. After completely emptying and flushing the black tank, I added two small bags of ice. Traveled about 100 miles of back roads to our next stop. After setup/hook up, I drained the black tank and I was surprised by what came out. I now do this regularly.

What works is back road travel and water. Been doing that since 1992 and 4 RVs. All of my units sensors have always worked well. Never used ice for anything but a cold drink.
