We use a stand up paper towel holder between the shower and the stool. Holds two rolls and is out of the way.

Same here, but we have a one roll, one holer

I put one of these toilet paper/ magazine holders between the wall and the toilet, held in place with 4 pieces of velcro 3m picture hangers on each back corner. 2 trips and it's stayed in place.

We installed ours to the inside of the door on the vanity. Measure the door thickness and first . This works very well and is out of the way.
