So last Labor Day as part of our COVID adaptation, we rented a Coachmen bunkhouse and took the kids to a Jellystone park. They loved it, the wife loved it, and I have always wanted an RV. (I was rejected by wifey 3 years ago when I proposed the idea. Hindsight.) We made the decision to buy and I started research. I settled on Grand Design and we starting whittling down models. We needed a small/mid bunkhouse model for the kids (11 and 7), and the wife really wanted a couch to convert to another bed (in case kids brought a friend). We initially settled on the 261BH and put our name on one that was coming to the local dealer, but it arrived with the theater seats instead of the trifold. We decided to wait until the spring and waited too long. Last weekend we stopped by again. Only one 261BH, with theater seating, and nothing predicted until May/June. The dealer had a couple 2800BH models on the lot, which I preferred since the fridge and stove were not on the slide. It was also only 100# heavier than the 261BH that they had on the lot, which surprised me. Negligible effect on the TV in my opinion. She was cool with the extra cost of the Imagine vs Transcend, especially after looking at the interior. We kept it a secret from the kids and they thought I was leaving for work this morning. They flipped out when I pulled into the driveway with the RV. 
Anyway, I'm happy to join the GD family and we are looking forward to as many trips as we can plan this year. A big part of the decision was info garnered from this site. Second goal is a full time remote job and full-timing in a 5'er ...but that's a couple years down the road.
