Traveled from central Missouri to Lincoln Nebraska to purchase a trailer we found.
It was pretty windy going NW so I was not too happy with my mileage. 2016 RAM 1500 Hemi.
Arrived at the dealer and ended up making the purchase. 2021 Imagine 22RBE.
Nice unit, perfect condition and came with an Equalizer WD hitch. Lucky us!
Anyway got hitched up and the WD hitch fit just about right as the previous owner had a RAM also.
Headed out and got out on the highway traveling East with a side wind from the North about 30 mph with 40 mph gusts.
The trailer was dipping and diving around all over at 60mph, I looked at the wife and she looked very concerned...
I have drove a semi for 20 years in my past life so very familiar with trucks and towing, have a 4500lb boat now we tow also,
but this was my first experience pulling a giant box in a crosswind. Not fun, and we were facing a 4 hour drive.
Once we turned South after about an hour of crosswind, it towed like a dream. About dark the wind quit completely so smooth sailing home.

Anyway it was a great learning experience for us to not tow in a severe wind!

Good to ear it was a good and safe trip other than some white knuckles.

Welcome to the forum Duckhunter, glad to hear that you survived the winds. Let us know if there is something we can help with.

Thanks for the welcome, been lurking for some time now just learning.

One question how do I put my info about my rig in my signature?

Couldn't find it in my profile.

Thanks
