An RVer considering a 2026 Grand Design Reflection 250ML found it still sat 4 to 5 inches nose high behind a 2024 Silverado 2500, even with the B&W Companion at its lowest setting and the Helux pin box at its highest, while still having about 9 inches of bed rail clearance. Members generally agreed this model can present height challenges with modern 3/4 ton trucks, and several cautioned against relying on the trailer dropping that much once loaded.

We've got a 2026Reflection 270BN with the same issue, being little nose high. Pin Box is a Helux, mounted as high as it will go. Hitch is a PullRite SuperLite with the "Cup" as low as it can be. There's 5" of space above the bed rails. The suspension is the new Lippert TCS (Touring Coil Suspension), not sure if the trailer can be raised with type of suspension

We pick up our new 2026 250 ML this Saturday.
We will be towing it with a 2025 Silverado 2500HD.
I’m having the B&W Patriot 18000 lbs hitch installed tomorrow morning and I’ll ask the shop to set it up at the lowest position and when we arrive at the Grand Design dealer I’ll ask them to raise the Helux to the highest position if the trailer isn’t level.

I’ve been a hot rod guy since the 70’s and a four wheeler for the same number of years.
It’s a common practice to cut a coil from a spring to lower a vehicle.
I haven’t looked at the design of the coil spring in the Helux pin box, but I’m wondering if a coil was cut to shorten the spring if that would make any difference in the ride height at the hitch?
From my four wheeling experience 4x4’s with coil springs can be lifted 1-2 inches by adding machined aluminum pucks that set between the spring and its frame pocket, thus a suspension lift.
It may be possible to design a set of four pucks to raise the frame rails higher using a suspension lift.
Please let me know if raising the Helux on your 250ML in combination with having the lowest B&W setting, gives you enough bed clearance of 6” to 7”. I’ve lowered my B&W but have not raised the Helux yet.

We had the B&W Patriot slider hitch installed into our 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500HD.
I instructed the shop to set up the hitch with the adjustment bolts at the lowest setting.
At the Grand Design dealership we coupled the truck and our new 250ML together and the front was noticeably higher.
The Grand Deaign technician removed the Helux from the lowest setting and moved it up two bolt holes, approximately two inches.
There were still two additional bolt holes that were available to move the Helux up an additional two inches however there is a plastic cover that would need to be removed to gain access to raise it up to the two highest hole locations.
Basically we set our Helux at the mid point.
We re-coupled the truck to the trailer and noticed the trailer was closer to level with still about seven inches between the truck bed rails and the trailer.
This picture is with a dry and empty trailer.
We will be loading our trailer with all our gear which I feel should settle the trailer another inch or two and should allow the trailer to be close to level.
