Hello @Dale01, funny, I posted the same question, but 8 months later then you.We are newbies to RVing. We own a 2023 Ford F150 4x4 supercrew XLT 5.0 V8 with a max tow package. 3.73 axle. GVWR:7050 GCWR:18,400 Max Payload:1823 Max towing 13,000
Front GAWR:3525 Rear GAWR: 3800. We are considering buying a Grand Design Imagine XLS 23LDE UVW: 5597 Hitch:524 Length:28'5". We hope to travel across country. We will not be full timers. Will our truck tow this camper? Does anyone that owns the 23LDE have any thoughts about this camper. We live in NC. Does anyone know a good RV dealer in the area? Thank you for any help you can give.
I have a similar truck (2023 Ford F150 4x4 Supercrew Lariat 5,0L V8 with Max tow package, 3,73 differential. My payload is a bit lower then yours (difference between an XLT and a Lariat I guess), my payload is 1498 lbs.
I am also considering the Grand Design Imagine XLS 23LDE. I was planning to use the Anderson Weight Distribution system and also the Road Active Suspension system. Is your configuration like the one I am planning to use?
Have you purchased it? If so, how is I your towing on the road?
Thanks for any input you can provide me before I go ahead with my RV purchase. Attached are my numbers from the Ford Towing Calculator using my VIN for the exact numbers for my truck.
