I am a new owner of a Grand Design Momentum toy hauler, 36'. I have a Harley trike that I tried to load for the first time. The RV is on level ground, in a semi-permanent spot. I don't really want to move the RV. But the ramp is too steep for the trike to load into the garage of the RV. If I load moving the trike forward, the bottom of the trike hits the hinge at the top of the ramp and I can't go any farther. I tried backing up the ramp, but the tailpipes of the trike scraped the ramp. Specs based the wheel base of the trike and ground clearance say that I need an 11-foot ramp, and my Momentum ramp is 7+1/2 feet. Any suggestions?

This is what I did when I had a Can Am Spyder, which had very low clearance issues also. The ramp is raised up off the ground about 6" using adjustable screw jacks. Then I bought some ramps that provided approx. 6" of lift at the end of them. That was just enough to make it in without dragging anywhere...

The jacks were place directly under the rubber bumpers of the lift gate, putting pressure there, just like it would be if it were resting on the ground instead of the jacks.

When I had a trike I bought a tri-fold ramp rated for 1,000lbs and cut a couple of pieces of 6x6 10 inches long. The ramp fit crossways in the rear of the garage so it was no problem to carry it with me.

It may help to retract the rear leveling jacks then put down the front legs further to lift the nose of the trailer. This will decrease the angle of the ramp.
This is what I do for my golf car loading since it has a platform with a low hitch receiver off the back.

My ex had a sportster and in order to load, I would raise the front with the rear retracted.
