Well,

We have had our Transcend 24BHX now for six months. We have already made some great family memories in this camper. Took it from FL to Yellowstone and back!

I get home from the trip and give it a good wash and well I notice something. The finish on the aluminum panels is coming off in multiple spots all over the camper. It is like the finish was not adhered very good at all. It's mostly at the roll over sections of the panels. But it's all over the camper where bare aluminum is now starting to show. I have an appointment with the dealer Aug 26th. I have tried to get in contact with GD customer service, but we just keep playing phone tag.

There are about 75% of the panels that have the finish coming off at some part of each panel. What will they do about this??? Replacing all the panels will be a huge job that will break all the factory seal jobs etc... Not sure I trust this local dealership to do such a job!

No one here is going to be able to answer what the manufacturer will do
You will just have to wait until you open a ticket

Almost any RV manufacturer would try to find a way to blame the customer for an issue like this.

You definitely need to talk to customer service at grand design. Stay on the line until someone answers.

Well, Grand design has approved replacing the entire metal siding on the RV. While I am glad they are acknowledging the problem, I don't know if I trust the dealer to do such a big job and reseal the RV as good as a factory job.

You know what, the dealer may seal it better than factory. Express your concerns and hopefully they get it to your approval.

So what did you want?

IMO you are just opening up a can of worms to many future problems plus a ton of downtime for cosmetics

Good luck
