On a recent trip having a Travlfi XTR was a life saver. I was at Petit Jean State Park in Arkansas and there was no T-Mobile service at all. I take my TMO home internet gateway from home with me. This was a minor issue to start off with and a fellow camper recommended Travlfi. My Grand Design Reflection came with the Travlfi XTR installed. So I checked into it at the cabins of Petit Jean that had wifi. My brother was staying in one of them. Setup was very easy and I had service for my laptop, our two tablets and my phone in no time. For some reason my wife's phone would not connect to Travlfi.

This was great for a while, but became super important when I lost all controls on my Compass Connect. This controls lights, awning and most importantly the slides. I could not operate anything. Without having wife and phone service via wifi calling I would be in a huge jamb. I was able to post questions on the Grand Design forums for options, but I had no luck. So I contacted the closest Grand Design dealer, but they had no mobile rv service. But they gave me some contacts. I was finally able to get in touch with one after calling a lot. He showed up yesterday and after two hours I got my slides closed and I was on the way home. My wife and I emptied everything out of the trailer into my truck and I dropped the trailer off at my dealer.

So if you need an wifi option I highly recommend Travlfi. I am considering dropping my TMO home internet and use Travlfi only. I have Cox now at home.

we have had good luck with travelfi in oklahoma and kansas as well, i also use it as a backup if home internet goes down.

It sounds pretty decent, but the fact that the unused data doesn't roll over month to month makes it no deal for me.

You can turn off your subscription when you're not using it.
I do like that but we use RV park wifi most of the time when we're out, and just would want it for a backup when their wifi is non-exixtent, so use it a week or two out of the month, and then maybe not use it again until the next month, and would lose all unused data. Not fond of that idea. We don't stream so no need for a huge amount, but would like a just-in-case backup plan.
