2022 Grand Design Solitude s-class 3740bh-r

First off I do not seem to have a problem but have been researching this.

On the dresser side I have 7 holes and four 3/8" lag bolt. I'm just going to assume the bed side is the same.

I talked to Grand Design customer service and was told that I could take it to a dealer and have it checked out and the bolts replaced with 1/2" lag bolts. I asked if it would all be covered under the warranty and was told yes. I also asked if I was to do it myself would it void the warranty. I was told it would not void the warranty

Has anyone had this checked out and the bolts replaced?

I was thinking about having this done while it is still under the warranty.

Maybe I should just go with if it's not broken, don't fix it.

What do y'all think?

I'd fix it. Especially since it should have had 1/2' bolts to begin with.

What about the additional holes? Did GD say to put lags in them too? I think I would.

I had my 378MBS done. The dealer measured before and after and noticed that by adding all of the 1/2" lag bolts there was less flex. I didnt' think I had a problem either but I figured why take the chance and have them fix it properly now rather than possibly have issues later. The dealer did note that my flex was slightly over the recommended max and once they did the fix it was well under. I also notice a lot less creaking when I hook up and take weight off of the front legs and put it on the hitch. If Grand Design is fixing under warranty why take a chance on having an issue after warranty is done. JMHO

Grand Design fills all the holes with 1/2" lag bolts. All of the holes in my 378MBS are now filled with 1/2" lag bolts.

Yes. I took mine out to GD in Elkhart where the work was done. They are installing 1/2" lags in every hole. I'd have it done. It isn't worth not adhering to a TSB IMHO. I noticed a distinct difference in towing on the ride out vs. the ride home after repairs.

I'm sorry I just realized I put this in the Reflection instead of Solitude.

Thanks for your help so far.

Update.
I have an appointment 12/11 with Morryde to have the independent suspension put on. Made a call to Grand Design have an appointment with them 12/5 for the lag bolt replacement.

We too have the 2022 378MBS. Is there a diagram somewhere showing where these lag bolts are? Thank you.

No diagram that I am aware of but the are near the floor in the trim box on the curb side and under the dresser, and under the floor in the washer closet. On the road side they are in the trim box under the bed. Bed needs to be pulled away from the wall to remove the box cover to access. I think there are also a few on the road side under the closet floor.

Calbar,

Thank you very much for the information; I will start digging, tightening, and replacing as necessary.
