hi everyone hope you are all staying cool, going to be 102 m-thu, this july as been a cooker in central Calif.
so anyway, still not sure what to do yet concerning if we want to watch tv
have a 380FL comes with air 360 wineguard , bought router installed no sim card, have the TCL tv that came with RV
have used the park cable / wi-fi, then paid wineguard for 30 day usage & fubo tv because certain channels you can't get by stremming
first time work great, second kept getting kicked off then trying to sign back on
just want to pay as i go since i use it appx the 6 times out. there is alot out there, starlink (too expensive) dish hopper, get sim & plan from verizon (don't want to pay monthly when only in use half)
just want a simple way to watch favorites shows, probably have to scan for channels ok
got to be a easier way? thoughts!

I'll start by saying streaming, for me, is just a supplemental way to see shows not on cable. There are a lot of them. Everyt ime I compare what I pay vs. my kids who chose streaming I find that what I want to watch is just as cost effective.

My solutions:
1) suck it up and just use what I get over the air (not my preferred method when gone for months at a time but OK for a week or two).
2) Dish For My RV monthly pay-as-you-go plan. I get the 120 channel package plus locals. It costs about $125/mo. It's worth it. I get everything I want and don't concern myself with cellular undependability , SIM card stuff, fees for streaming (which may or may not work since it is cellular based). It is dependable (portable dish works for me) and easy to change locations and get the local channels without having to call anyone (does via the Dish app).

Of course, there is StarLink. You get to pay that monthly cost and then all the fees for streaming. Or may Pluto or Tubi are options when on StarLink.

bottom line - ya get what ya pay for.....

thanks for the info sounds like been thru rodeo a few times......LOL......
yes i have looked at DISH and Starlink, we just usually stay in in northern cal, some issues still learning
but taking our first big road trip next month, NorCAL to colorado, then back
home via moab & grand canyon and not sure if i will be able to get anything
set-up by then , so this will be an interesting road trip
Again thanks for the info very helpful - terry

Dish VIP211K or JOEY. Easy to store, setup, and enjoy HD programming. Could instead do dish hopper3 at home for stick built viewing and stream from your hopper3 or MyDish (Web) to your phone/PC/tablet/etc for free while out camping using only your phones data plan and stick-built based hopper3 over ISP. The beauty using the hopper3 and MyDish at the stickbuilt, even in bad weather when your shacking out in side the RV you can still get TV viewing during weather-outages.
