Hi Everyone,
I've searched the site but haven't been able to find any info on this. Has anyone has done a queen to twin bed conversion on a 2600RB or 2500RL? We currently have a Flagstaff 25BRDS and love it, but want more room. We are actually interested in 4 different GD models, the 278bh, 2910bh, or the 2600RB or 2500RL. I'm gravitating towards either the 2600RB or the 2500RL (because of length, payload, etc.), but since there is no bunk room in these models, we would like to do a conversion from the queen to twin beds. I ruled out the 2800BH as if I go to 32ft. I felt like I might as well get a 2910BH. Has anyone on the forum done a queen to twin bed conversion and if so, do you have any pics or info on your conversion?
Thanks!

Bearsky,

Not sure you can on the 2600RB. We have a 2019 version and assuming the same footprint there just isn't sufficient room between the closets to insert two 38" twins. The 60" queen sized mattress fits in there with about 2" to spare on either side.

Of course, if you wanted to tear out one of the closets... Can't imagine (no pun intended) you'd want to do that for a brand-new trailer. I'd go with one of the bunkhouse models. We've slept 4 in our 2600RB by putting an inflatable queen size mattress on the floor of the living area but going to the bathroom in the middle of the night was a chore. For everyone.

Good Luck

Jim

If you are looking at new units, the 2910 has been discontinued for over a year, along with the 278BH 5th wheel. The 27BH 100 Series replaced the 278, but they dropped the 2910 completely.
