What type of flooring is under the linoleum floor? I would like to replace the linoleum with peel and stick vinyl flooring, not sure if the vinyl planks will stick.

I don't believe GD uses Linoleum but rather other types of flooring. That said, the subfloor should be OSB.

I believe the main flooring on my rig [20 29RS] is a sandwich wood/foam/wood. Not certain how thick the wood layers are but I do not think they are that thick. I believe the slides are the standard thick stuff. If I look in the basement and take off the side panels, I can see the actual wood/foam flooring, but I do not know if it runs the entire length of the rig.

I've looked into this because I want to build a bike rack inside to store it while driving. I am not satisfied that the floor is thick enough to hold the screws needed for my satisfaction. When you have a bicycle that would cost $14k to replace, you understand why you would want to store it inside while traveling. That and the wife does not like it on the bed like it is now.

If it's a laminated floor then it's likely 1 layer of 1/8" luan on the bottom then foam then 2 layers 1/8" luan. That seems to be the industry standard. Nonetheless it's pretty thin.

It can however be repaired if torn or damaged. Had ours done after a slide tore a hole in it. Looked like new afterward!

You can probably find a hole in your floor and see how thick it is. Maybe under the kitchen or bathroom sink where the plumbing comes through.

I'm pretty sure you will find it is marine grade OSB or plywood (at least that is what I've seen them advertise) and I'd say at least 1/2' think if not 5/8".

Probably a few YouTube videos on the build process will provide a few clues too.

Does peel and stick stuff stick to wood? Maybe something that isn't stuck/glued all around is better to allow for flexibility and expansion/contraction for temperature changes? At least on the edges.

Clearly I am not a flooring expert......

Maybe search in mods for what folks have done.
