I see a lot of you folks indicate, in your signature, what build # your rig is. Where did you get that information?

Your Vin number; the last 4 numbers are your build number. If you will check your owner's manual, they list what all of the numbers men.

Look for this tag usually front left (street side) lower corner outside your RV by propane/luggage door.

Thanks! So ours is #2072

So, that brings up another question. Is that the 2072nd 337RLS or total of all Grand Design RVs or what? :)

The #2072 only indicates the number of Reflections produced on that production line, which is the 12th digit of the VIN. The last 5 digits are the sequential build # which I don't think resets with the model year. I believe that have as many as 4 production lines now...not sure whether they're dedicated by product line or not. We have one of the 337 prototypes (#0129) and it was built in Sept 2013.

The numbers are the last 4 digits of the S/N for each brand--Momentum/Solitude/Reflection. My Reflection is number 1144, and it left the factory about 7/20/2015.

If Poppy's is 2072, they've made a bunch of Reflections recently.

Grand Design has truly been a successful company in the 24 months they've been in business.

Well I think the last 5 numbers are the sequential serial number of that brand and not particularly the actually model. I have a newer 350M and I am number 01320. So if it went off of actual model I would have the 1,320 Momentum 350M...Which isn't possible, as maybe 200 at most have been built since september. So I see that I might have the 1,320th Momentum built. I do want to know what build number my exact model is though. I saw a sticker under the unit from LCI that may direct it to be possibly the 28th frame for the 350M.

Stephen/Nikki--my understanding and what our Owners Manual states is consistent with your feedback. The fifth digit is the make/model......"R" for Reflection and I assume "M" and "S" for Momentum and Solitude. So GDRV is headed towards the 3000th unit manufactured which includes all makes/models. Buyer of the 3000the unit gets a free toaster !

So you guys have me all confused now. My VIN does have an "R" in the 5th digit and the last 5 numbers are 02072 so does that mean my unit was the 2072nd unit built or not? I guess I also take it that you guys are saying that number has nothing to do with model (Reflection vs. Solitude vs. Momentum), just the 2072nd RV ever built by Grand Design? That doesn't seem like enough but I could be wrong. I have the build sheet which has the VIN on it but I don't have the actual unit yet.

Yes the R in the Vin means its a Reflection, S=Solitude and M=Momentum. Yours is the 2072nd Build of the Reflection. I have the 1,320th Momentum. But what I was saying was the very last 5 numbers in the long vin are slated for the build numbers. It's all in the owners manual like the 3rd page or so.

Personally I wanted to know my Build number for the 350M, not for the 380TH or 385TH or 355TH or 328M and so on. Like I said from the sticker I saw under the frame, is I think mine is the 28th Frame for the 350M Unit. I found mine just under the front storage compartment passenger side on the frame.

We got our 303 in february of 2014 and our last 5 digits are 00003. Ours was not the 3rd one built but it was the 3rd one off the 2nd line when they started it up. One of the numbers in the vin will tell you which line it came off. Which means you can only tell what unit it was on it's particular line.

You know what? I just took it out of my signature because it really doesn't seem to mean anything :)

Wow! Ours was built in June and is #0627. That is a bunch of units in a month! Someone posted an article on the Facebook group about GD expanding the line again. Amazing growth in a short period.

Grand Design averages 16 units a day......

The industry averages 21-22 per day.

That says quite a bit about why the GD units are built better, they take more time to build them right.

huntr70--now curious, so how many Momentums, Reflections (Fiver and trailer), and Solitudes have been manufactured to date ?

Dan

Not sure...I'll email the owners and see where they are at.
