It was a Success!!! But I have a question.

First off specs.
1120 watts of panels
2 X 300 (600) amps Lifeblue batteries.
Removed Magnum 3000W inverter hooked to sub panel

Installed Multiplus II 12A/3000w X 2 inverter.
Rewired the subpanel back to the breaker box and connected the inverter in between the transfer switch and breaker box. All is good and works.

Also I installed a Cerbo GX S with a 7" screen.

Here's the issue. The original solar install was in 2018. I have a shunt going to a BMV 721 battery monitor and a MPPT 150/85 - Tr Solar controller all Victron. These units don't have the VEbus/RJ45 output ports on them. So how can I send this information to the 7" display panel?

Thanks

Congrats on the upgrades. I might not be understanding correctly here but I'll try. First thing is to make sure your Multiplus is set to use the Shunt voltage as the source rather than the Multiplus. That would ensure that all voltage information is coming from the shunt where everything is passing through. Regarding the 150/85 controller, it looks to me like it should have a VE port, which you would connect to a VE port on the Cerbo device. This will enable you to see your solar on the Cerbo panel and the Victron phone app. Is that helpful at all?

Thanks Chad.

A couple of things...
I need to order a MK3 (I'm waiting to see if I need other components so I can save on shipping). I haven't found a way to adjust the multiplus inverter with out one.

The Solar controller doesn't have the VE port, believe I've looked. It was purchased in 2018.
Correction on this...I found the manual and it says there's a VE port. I'll go look again.

Another update. The solar controller has a VE direct plug which will go to the cerbo GX. I have to do some rearranging on the install. We (my brother and I) mounted the cerbo GX inside the RV next to the 7" monitor because of the HDMI cable length. I will now move the cerbo next to the inverter, solar controller etc. and run a longer HDMI cable.

I've ordered a MK3 to setup the inverter correctly and with Chad's suggestion on the shunt setup I should be much closer to a finished install.

Glad you found the VE port, that'll be helpful. On a side note regarding the MK3...I think you will want one because it is a little easier to use, however, you can actually make changes via VictronConnect online app which you can load onto a Windows laptop. It's nice because you don't have to plug in the laptop and sit outside your RV to make changes (depending on your setup I guess). But the MK3 is a little more straight forward since you log directly into the VE Config app. Whereas you have to download and upload configuration and changes when using the VictronConnect app. But that app is nice if you just want to verify a setting if you can't remember if you did something right or not. Good luck with everything and have lots of fun with it. I love being able to see all the data.
