Used B&W Companion Rvk3300 hitch

I have found a slightly used Companion hitch that I am interested in. Seller says only slightly used for 2 seasons. The images he sent me show a very clean hitch with virtually no rusting. The plate looks very clean with hardly any wear marks.
For those that have the companion hitch, what should I look out for on this hitch if I decide to go see it?

The hitch is basically bulletproof. Maybe pull the head off and check the saddles to make sure the rubbers are good. Operation of the handle and jaws should be smooth. There's so few moving parts, there's not much to really check.

We bought our companion used as well, like [MENTION=42104]Hoopy Frood[/MENTION] says just check the rubbers on the arms the head saddles set on (white lithium grease should be used) and free movement of the handle and jaws. If the movement of the jaws is a little stiff just use some spray lubricant on the jaws pivot shafts and they will free up. Also check to see if there is grease on the zerk fitting which is located on the underside of the head.
You can go to companion and download the owners manual for you particular hitch. I wouldn't be concerned about buying a used companion hitch. If its a slider for a short bed just check to see if it moves freely and is not all rusty.

Picked up the used OE Companion for my truck. It really was in great condition, so now to go pick up my 5th wheel very soon.
